Election 2016

Keep Those Selfies Outta Trump’s Hands

Your DGB for today is to opt out of sharing personal info with Facebook.

In the latest chapter of the Death of American Democracy, AKA, How the Russians Won the Long Game, AKA, The Dumbest James Bond Movie Ever, we discovered this week that Facebook sold the personal data of millions of Americans to Cambridge Analytica. The company, in turn, used this data to help the Trump campaign in the 2016 election. Read more about the complicated scheme here: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/17/us/politics/cambridge-analytica-trump-campaign.html

While both companies claim they committed no wrongdoing we can all agree that it’s shady as h-e-double-sippy-straws to mine personal data without the knowledge or permission of the people being profiled. So what is a person to do? The extreme option of leaving Facebook is simply not open to most of us. Whether we like it or not, the platform is a huge source of communication and information. We found this suggestion to be helpful and we encourage you to follow it. And do what you can to stay anonymous. Keep your profile information sparse and don’t link your apps to Facebook (or any other social media site).

Let Your Money Do the Talking

Your DGB for today is to deface some money. No, this is not technically illegal. It IS illegal to alter money in such a way that renders it unfit for circulation, which we are not advocating.

It is an undisputed fact that Russia interfered in the 2016 election with the intent of helping The Twitler win. Because we are currently inundated with daily horrors, it’s easy to begin to live with facts such as these. Sure, it’s bad. Sure, it’s wrong as hell. But, what choice do we have but to move on and keep up the resistance to current events? Well, today you’ll be spreading the message of Russia’s involvement in the U.S. government by making a slight alteration to each paper bill you put into circulation.

If you want to read up on the twisted bromance between Trump and Putin, you can do so here and, somehow even more disturbingly, the Rosneft connection here

So, replace “America” with “Russia” and make it rain. And, if DGB staff mysteriously disappears after publishing this Grab, please carry on our legacy.

Call to Investigate Russian Hacking

Today’s DGB is to call your representatives in Congress and tell them you want an investigation into Russian interference with our recent election. Evidence is mounting that Russia manipulated our elections and helped install Trump, yet many of our politicians refuse to act and choose to remain silent on the sidelines. Let them know that this will not be tolerated by the American people!
